Register for the 2025-2026 season
All students will participate in Talent Day which is typically held between mid-March and mid-April at either McNally High School or an alternate school gymnasium. Talent Day rehearsal and performances run all weekend (Friday evening through to Sunday evening). Adjudicators from outside dance companies or individuals from the dance community watch the dancers perform their numbers and evaluate their performances.
All students will participate in the year-end performances in May at the MacEwan Triffo Theatre. There will be rehearsals and performances throughout the weekend from Friday night to Sunday night.
All festival classes will participate in local dance festivals/competitions along side dance studios from across the province. Events will be held between mid-March to mid-May and take place at theatres throughout the city and neighbouring communities. Festival/competitions typically run Wednesday-Sunday with performances from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00.p.m. Each number requires approximately a 2 to 2.5 hour commitment.
Festival organizers arrange adjudicators to evaluate the groups performances, routines receive medals and awards based on their assessment.
Festivals are a great experience for dancers: the more a dancer performs, the more comfortable they become on stage and the better their performance skills. Emphasis is placed on commitment, teamwork, and a love of dance. Festivals should be a positive experience for all dancers.
